Matty Stewart is a Northern Ireland-based photographer and emerging artist who studied Photography with Video at the Belfast School of Art. His practice moves between documentary and conceptual approaches, shaped by everyday environments and human experience.

His work is rooted in visual storytelling, exploring moments that feel both familiar and slightly out of place. With a restrained, observational style, his images lean towards a poetic and thought-provoking tone, allowing meaning to emerge over time rather than being directly imposed. He places equal emphasis on atmosphere and subject, often using subtle details to build a wider sense of narrative.

Alongside his personal practice, he works across portraiture, live music, and events. He has experience producing high-quality imagery for a range of industries, combining candid observation with considered composition. Working across both film and digital, he adapts his approach to suit each project while maintaining a consistent visual identity. Central to his process is building a strong rapport with his subjects, resulting in images that feel both professional and personal.
